It was a negative growth for Baja Auto both in the motorcycle segment as well as commercial vehicles segment. In July 2012 the company sold 3,08,858 units as compared to 3,18,095 units, registering a 3pc drop in sales. Commercial vehicles sales dropped by 23pc from 45,617 units to 35,292 units. For Bajaj Auto the highlight of the month was the sale of 5,600 Pulsar 200NS bikes and 14,400 Discover 125 ST bikes. Out of the total sales, the company exported 1,25,501 units (1,43,996) units. The company claimed that there was a partial recovery in the markets of Sri Lanka and Egypt and that further gains are expected in August 2012.
